Let it be known, whenever the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam drops again, be prepared for blood! This shoe makes people go crazy and stories of sneaker violence make the news whenever a pair of Air Jordan XI’s release.
I lucked out and was able to cop online, thus avoiding the riots, stabbings and beat downs that happened while people were out in December 2009 trying to get this retro. This particular pair is named after the movie starring Michael Jordan and characters from the Looney Tunes.
Space Jams are basically a black shoe with some white hits. I tend to treat them as such rather than try to match up the royal blue accents. I think they look good with either light or dark denim; just make sure your top balances off the pants and kicks. For example, today I’m wearing these with a grey hoodie and medium wash jeans. In order to mix it all back, I’ve added in a black layering tee under the hoodie.
How Are The Materials?
Like other Air Jordan 11s, these feature patent leather around the toebox and mudguard and a thick mesh upper. The materials on this pair are excellent, and the quality and craftsmanship can be seen throughout. If you’re one of those sneakerheads that needs their shoes to have great materials, you almost never can go wrong with a pair of crispy XI!
How Do They Fit?
Back in the day, I was able to go down half size on a pair of OG Air Jordan XI, but these days I would go true to size. These fit a tad snug around the toe area thanks to the stiff patent leather toebox. That said, these have a stiff yet comfortable feel. I also have to comment on the traction, a new pair of 11s has noticeable traction – for such an icy sole, you definitely won’t be slipping around in these!
